Second graders are usually just starting to get harder spelling words. Build confidence and reading skills in your second grader by helping them become better spellers.

Tip: Ask your second grader to write out your grocery list as you recite items needed while going through cupboards. They will enjoy this real world spelling activity. Even if they don't spell it right, it's an opportunity to learn and think about letters and sounds.
